The drawing is associated with magnificent triumph on the occasion of the second marriage of the Grand Duke. In the foreground depicts a pedestal, which is crowned by the monograms of Pavel Petrovich and Maria Fedorovna, decorated with a flower garland. In the image of a winged young man with a wreath of flowers on the head and a torch, the god of marriage of hymen is depicted in the hand. The drawing diagonally is balanced by a young woman sitting on the clouds with a cadouceus and a horn of abundance – the personification of happiness and prosperity. Smoke from the smoking room, rising by an elongated cloud, forms the second cross diagonal.
