Bulgakova is a famous Moscow painter, whose works are distinguished by a special symbol of the figurative system. The theater had a noticeable influence on the addition of its artistic language, with its inherent arsenal of expressive means. The principle of dramatic contrast used in the picture helps the author to reveal mental suffering, complete confusion of the search for a sick writer, designed to carry a heavy cross of his ministry. Gogol’s images on the canvas come to life and reborn into gloomy monsters, reality is mixed with fiction, heroes with anti -heroes. Bulgakova herself admits: “I am attracted by a picture-ceremony, where the moment of the accomplished should be at the same time its development in time”. (A. N.)
